Mike di Milo


Mike di Milo combined his background in education and natural resources management to create Science Discovery in 1994. He earned his BS from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and worked as a naturalist for several years after graduating. Currently, Mike works with all Science Discovery clients in the areas of program development and administration. Away from the office, Mike enjoys gardening, concerts, and sports.

Stephen Carr

Design & Fabrication Artist

With over 20 years of experience in the design and fabrication of exhibits, Stephen is up to any design challenge. He received his B.A. from Stanford University, and his Masters Degree from the University of Oregon. Stephen takes ideas and brings them to life through his creative artistry. He has worked with Science Discovery for three years.

Lynne Haley

Program Developer

Lynne has over 30 years of experience in the field of environmental education. She has a California teaching credential and a Masters in Education. During the past ten years with Science Discovery, Lynne has developed class programs on a variety of water and solid waste topics. Lynne also designs exhibits and displays for use in education centers and classrooms. When not developing new programs, Lynne enjoys scuba diving, yoga, reading and spending time with her husband and two children.

Randy Allen

Digital Media Specialist

Randy is our digital media expert. Whether it's filming, editing, audio, or special effects, he can do it. Randy's work includes educational films, public service announcements, and commercials among others. He enjoys the challenge of creating unique and creative media strategies to deliver a client's message.

David Lindsey

Science Education Specialist

David has a BA in Social Science from Humboldt State University. He has been with Science Discovery for five years. David spends much of his time providing water conservation, storm water, composting and recycling programs for students of all ages. His passion and enthusiasm when presenting is unmatched. Away from work, David enjoys playing guitar, hiking, and surfing.

Stacey Smith

Science Education Specialist

Stacey has been with Science Discovery for three years. She earned a teaching credential at Eastern Michigan University. Stacey has extensive experience in teaching environmental education topics, having previously worked as a naturalist. She is equally skilled in the classroom, and does an outstanding job with young learners. Stacey enjoys running, cooking, surfing, and spending time with her husband and dog Chewey.

Sarah Lomanto

Science Education Specialist

Sarah has seven years of classroom teaching experience. She obtained her teaching credential from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and has a strong background in science and agriculture. Sarah has been with Science Discovery for one year, leading field trips and presenting in classrooms. Sarah has two children, and enjoys family vacations, camping, sports and concerts.
